1. What this policy covers

This policy explains how RoleFit collects and uses personal data when you use userolefit.com. RoleFit is an online resume-tailoring service operated from India. By using the service, you acknowledge the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

• Account data: email address, password hash, session records, credit balance, and account dates.
• Resume data: uploaded PDF, DOCX, or TXT files, pasted resume text, contact details contained in the resume, parsed sections, and edits.
• Job-application data: job descriptions, job titles, company names, tailored resumes, keyword results, and generated cover-letter content.
• Billing data: selected package, payment provider identifiers, payment amount, currency, status, refunds, and subscription status. RoleFit does not store full card or bank details.
• Support data: your email, request category, subject, message, and correspondence reference.
• Operational data: AI token usage, error records, timestamps, and basic server logs used for security and reliability.

3. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, parse and tailor resumes, compare resumes with job descriptions, maintain credits, process purchases, provide support, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and improve service reliability. We do not sell your personal data.

4. AI processing

When AI features are enabled, relevant resume content and job-description text are sent from our server to Anthropic to produce structured suggestions. Do not upload information you are not authorised to process. AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate and must be reviewed by you.

5. Service providers

We use service providers to operate RoleFit, including Anthropic for AI processing, Razorpay for payments, Resend for transactional email, and infrastructure providers for hosting and storage. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices. Data may be processed outside your country.

6. Cookies and sessions

RoleFit uses an essential, secure session cookie to keep you logged in. It is required for account and payment security. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies on the application.

7. Storage and retention

Account, resume, generated, billing, and support records are retained while needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Uploaded files are stored on our application infrastructure. You may request deletion through the Support page; some billing records may need to be retained where required by law.

8. Security

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, server-side API credentials, access controls, database-backed sessions, and payment-signature validation. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so keep your password private and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data. Submit a request through RoleFit Support. We may need to verify your identity before completing it.

10. Children

RoleFit is not intended for children under 16. Do not create an account or upload personal information if you are below the minimum age required in your country.
